From romantic dramas like Kabir Singh to ensemble stories such as The Big Bull and Dybbuk,
Nikita Dutta has taken on parts that sit across genres. On the digital side, shows like Khakee: The Bihar Chapter have added another layer to her work, giving her space to be part of long-format storytelling. In between shoots and the usual rush that comes with the job, she tends to carve out time for herself—often leaning into spirituality as a way to reset. Her recent visit to the
Somnath Temple was one of those moments where she stepped away from the noise.
“Honestly, this trip had been on my mind for quite some time. I’ve always wanted to visit Somnath, to truly experience its energy. With my schedule, it kept getting postponed, but this year I finally made it happen. It was more of a ‘now or never’ feeling, and I’m really glad I listened to that instinct. There’s something incredibly grounding about Somnath—the moment you step into the temple, you can feel this sense of calm take over. I consider myself to be spiritually inclined, so this was truly special in every sense. I felt a kind of stillness there that’s hard to find in everyday life, something very personal and deeply comforting," she said.

As actors, Nikita says that spiritual trips like these are necessary, she says, "Our lives can get very fast paced, especially as an actor where you’re constantly surrounded by noise and chaos. Taking time out for a trip like this becomes extremely important. It gives you clarity, resets your energy, and reminds you of who you are beyond your work. I genuinely feel like I came back lighter, more focused, and more grateful for everything around me."
Talking about work ahead, she says, "Looking ahead, I’m really excited about exploring different kinds of roles and pushing myself creatively. I’m looking forward to projects like Nazdeekiyan and another film I’m about to begin work on. 2026 feels like a year where I want to experiment more, step slightly out of my comfort zone, and collaborate with people who truly inspire me.”
